A TweetUp (twtup), or Twitter “Meet Up”, is an informal social event that brings together a group of individuals with similar interests.
The TweetUp invite (twtvite) includes: the Hashtag for your event (for example: #eventname) which will go out over Twitter, the ability to track RSVP’s, a map of the location where the event is being held and even printable name tags for those attending. In addition, the TweetUp can be added to your calendar (Google, Yahoo, etc.) and you will be notified of any Tweets mentioning your event. One tool for coordinating your TweetUp is twtvite.com.
