Hello Twellow!

by Christine Morris on January 3, 2012

Social media and networking have changed the face of marketing for small businesses everywhere. Sites like Facebook and Twitter are great tools for small business owners, but have you ever looked at Twitter and wondered, “How on earth can this help me to promote my business, or any business for that matter?”

Well, it might not. Unless you use Twellow.

Twellow is basically yellow pages for Twitter users. Users create a profile where they can add links to websites and social media sites and even create a bio. Your Twellow bio allows up to 2,000 characters that you can use to promote your business and tell others what you offer. Keywords in your bio will be used to automatically select categories for you (such as blogger, virtual assistant, administrative, etc). The stronger your keywords the more effective and accurate your categories will be or, if you prefer to personally select your categories, you can do that too.

Twellow is an invaluable tool that will take your social media marketing to a higher level. Without it, potential clients and followers may have a difficult time finding you.

Once your business is found on Twitter, it is important to have something good to show them. Check out this past post on Daily Twitter Tasks that can help you to use your Twitter account more effectively.
